Hard to say because USM is so bad. But we sure didn’t have a LB like Will Wheaton (I’m sure I got the name wrong) last year. And the CBs looked good. Still concerned about interior DL, lack of pass rush (very surprising to me), and safeties in coverage. Overall much better than last year though. We’ll get a big test Saturday.

We played very much in the box to keep the QB from getting out of the pocket. Our safety’s damn near had three ints. Other than the last garbage time drive we held them to less than 300 yds. Your just trying your damnedest to find negatives because you saw the improvements but you can’t let go of your bias to us being a bad program. How did i come to this conclusion. You have posted some negative **** in almost every single thread today. It’s ok we are allowed to improve

Big test. If we beat ASU I'm totally wooly. And if they can start off like the 3rd quarter and maintain that we will win
If we beat ASU, I may even pull my We Believe t-shirt out of the closet. It’ll be a tall task, though.

Either way, it’s hard to argue that there isn’t at least a glimmer of hope with this defense, and that’s about all I can ask for at this point

Smith didn't come alive until the second half. I wonder what the holdup was.
