the guy who taunted the Duck got exactly what he deserved. His smart *** mouth leaves him on the deck where he belonged. Maybe next time he will think before he spouts off. If Boise had just moved on like he should have in the first place the Duck would be working on next week's game and nothing would ever have happened. Frankly, I hope Boise's jaw is broken and wired shut for 6 weeks. Everyone has condemned the Duck for what he did and at first I did the same thing but watching the video more I think harsh penalties should be handed out for both players. If Oregon suspended its Duck for the remainder of his career based on what happened Thurs night I think it is too harsh.....IF the kid has already been in trouble then perhaps it is a no brainer. It is a real shame to see a player's career ruined by one stupid action on his part (Yep, he did it and is responsible for it). Suspend him for 3-5 games and give him another chance to get his life together. Players drive drunk and are arrested for assault in bars and other places yet their careers remain intact with usually what is a one game suspension or less. Politically correct is not as cool as some may think.....just a different view for now.

The BSU player should be suspended for one game as an example. He went looking for the Oregon player and instigated the situation.

but if the Duck just had to react the guy should have taken his helmet off and confronted the the Boise guy face to face instead of throwing a sucker punch. I know I know it still wouldn`t have been justified but would have damn sure looked better.

Punishment for taunting = broken jaw and jaw wired shut for 6 weeks.

Punishment for blindsiding a guy with a punch after being taunted = 3-5 game suspension.

Well, I guess that's the thing about opinions. Everbody gets one. Valid or not.

Oregon player was lucky to only be suspended for the season. You could not argue if they had kicked him off team. I suspect the BSU player will think twice about taunting in the future.

In my mind he is lucky if he doesn't get charged with assault, because that is what it was.

The damn animal didn't just jack the dude's jaw up. He attacked his own team mates, his own coaches, the police, the fans. Throw the jack *** out of football for good. He's a piece of **** that belongs back on the street selling crack and jacking cars.

less we forget the Mr. Blount had been talkin "smack" all year and especially all week prior to this game and all the sudden when the Boise St. defense shuts this A-hole up and gives him some of his own medicine...he results to sucker punchin the dude.. I admit the Boise guy should have just let the negative yds. earned by the idiot speak....but he chose to taunt him....but the old saying RINGS TRUE HEAR....

" If you can't take it......don't dish it out baby"!!!!!!!! END OF STORY!
