defensive holding

That Colts DB was barely hand-checking the WR. Can't believe they called defensive holding there. I think every first down, maybe all but 1, in overtime came by penalty. Even the facemask...damn...it was facemask, but the DL had the guy all wraped up..not like the guy was tackled by the facemask.

That zebra crew should not be allowed to work playoff games. Madden was saying Dungy was already complaining about that crew before the game started.

But I suspect this was the NFL fixing the Hochuli screw up from earlier in the year. Complete and utter bull call.

I didn't care who won, but the officials were too active in that game, and overtime was a joke. Let the players play.

The refs marched the Chargers down the field and then the overtime rules don't even allow the Colts to answer. Could the Chargers be the new Patriots?

The dude grabbed the facemask and held on to it.. how the hell could you NOT call that? As for the defensive holding, it absolutely was. He grabbed the guy like 2 or 3 different times. The Colts were the ones who cried to the league a few years back so you couldn't touch receivers and now the chickens came home to roost on them. They could've called illegal contact if not holding.

It would be unfair for the officials not to make those calls. It should never matter when the game is, calls should always be consistent, even in overtime.

win, deep down we realize that every win is possibly another year with Norv.

It is also pretty apparent that LT is on the downside of his career. Sad, but he has had a decent run (no pun intended).

I heard several announcers during this bowl season when discussing whether a player should leave early for the NFL or not point out that since RBs have a limited number of carries in them, if a JR RB is good enough to come out early, he should do it. Sometimes it might make sense for a player at another position to stay in college and improve his draft position, but if a RB stays, he's just cutting his NFL career 1 year shorter.

the Chargers wanna get rid of Norval so bad, but he just won't let them. It's kinda funny actually. Having said that, the Chargers could have a Super Bowl run in them this year.

Did anyone see the massive hold/pass interference/raping of the Cardinals receiver that wasn't called on a 3rd and 4? I think it was in the 3rd qtr.

That being said, I really don't have any sympathy for Peyton or the Colts. I am so freakin' sick of watching them march down the field for game-winning drives and AV hitting game-winning field goals. It was nice watching them go down for once.
