Any Madison people. Why is Madison cut up like a redistricting map for gas service? And, if you have Delta Utilities did your bill double this month compared to last?

I live at reservoir in Rankin County (Castlewoods). I usually get my bill from them on the 19th, so I will answer tomorrow. It has been consistently $45-$50 the last few months, but we did run the heat more this billing cycle.

Old house is in Delta. New house is on Atmos. Water also changed from city of Madison to Bear Creek. I think probably because new house used to be in county. So I think it’s probably where the city limits were at some time in the past.

My bill was $94.43 this month after being $45-$50 for the previous 4-5 months, but we did utilize our heat a lot more over the last 30 days than any of the previous 4-5 months. I looked back to my bills for December 2024 & January 2025 also - they were $79.86 & 118.93 respectively. I think my bill is higher just because we used the heat based on these numbers instead of increased rates.
