Did you miss the UK series per chance? He did **** like that in a game that cost us one. He has no idea when to dive, and when to keep it in front of him.
You must think it's difficult to play left field. Easiest position in the field to learn... ANY good infielder can transition to outfield with minimal difficulty.
Settle down, JUCO double header hero. Flair is the eternal DH and Norris isn't fast enough. Detz could do it though, and should.
I'm telling yal it's time to let woodruff play. He can't do any less then Henderson, Robson, Armstrong, Fullerton. Or give polo the chance ha
At this point, given the lack of contribution from Henderson and Robson, I seriously think Armstrong should be given some starts in LF. He's fast and he certainly can't do much worse.
Fact is simple -- Head was NOT fast. You find a place on the field for guys that can swing the stick. EVERYTHING I've seen or heard says that Flair can swing it. Know that Detz can swing it(and that Porter can which gets him a spot in the lineup with Detz in left). I'd MUCH prefer to lose a little range in left field for someone that is going to hit 100 points higher -- with a 200 point better slugging percentage.

By your own admission, if you're putting your hitters on the field, that rules out Norris in LF. He hasn't hit **** since his injury last year. I've already said I'd be OK with Detz out there. Flair just isn't ready yet.
The FACT is that this team is built on pitching and defense. So we'd be better served with a guy who can move around and actually play outfield. We don't have any hitter outside Detz who's proven that they HAVE to be on the field.

HILARIOUS coming from you. I know QUITE alot more about the comparison that I intentionally made than you do. ALOT more.
The point was simple -- if you've got a guy that can hit, YOU FIND A SPOT FOR THEM IN THE FIELD.
There is NO SUCH THING as a "team built on defense." That's just an excuse made by teams that can't hit. PERIOD.
If we're basing this **** on defense, we need Robson out there EVERY DAY. Because Henderson is a huge, huge defensive liability in left -- and has been for his ENTIRE career.
