I think he would be taken seriously if the dem leadership apparatus would give him a real opportunity to be seen and heard by the people but I think they will suppress him heavily.

I doubt it. We have a commercial vertical dedicated to unions. I was with the leader of that group this week. Biden is seen as one of the most pro-union presidents in recent memory. He apparently spoke at a big labor meeting last week when he was announcing his reelection bid and was strongly supported.
That said, I think many of the individuals in these groups aren’t necessarily Biden fans. But if unions are a major voting criteria for someone, Biden is probably their guy.
