Just another MS Dandy Dozen squandering his God given talent because being a knucklehead keeps his street cred up. Guess we won't be seeing any of Uncle Marcus'mega millions in the near future.
Could be wrong, but before the semester was out I had dinner with a few football players who graduated this past season... (they know my friend, and he invited them along). Anyways, they mentioned that they had heard that up to 6 players had a failed whatever drug test they give during the spring semester but that nobody knew who the six were. I don't know for a fact, but you gotta imagine he was one of those and this being his 3rd or 4th slap on the hand probably was likely the last straw.

Darius Barksdale - at Jacksonville State now
Jason McNair - at UT-Martin
Charles Mitchell - above average player at MSU
Desmond Johnson - doing alright at USM
Andre Wadley - still at Auburn
Willie Packer - still at USM
Ken Davis - went to Juco I believe, now???
Rashun Dixon - went in the MLB draft
Alonzo Lawrence - basically cut from Alabama, now at USM
Bo Tillman - just finished Juco, now going to Kansas State this fall
DeAndre Brown - above average player at USM, though he played in obscurity
Templeton Hardy - still at MSU
Of those players, the only players I see that have made a significant impact are Mitchell and Brown. Past that, it's a mixed bag with a few guys having moderate success.

Rod Woodson - cut from Alabama, now at North Alabama
Fletcher Cox - making an impact at MSU
Josh Boyd - making an impact at MSU
Tyler Russell - still at MSU
Cameron Lawrence - still at MSU
Chris Garrett - cut from LSU
Chad Bumphis - making an impact at MSU
Patrick Patterson - kicked off Ole Miss
Kendrick Hardy - doing well at USM
David Conner - can't find much on him, but he committed to UAB
Dennis Thames - kicked off MSU
Clayton Moore - walked on at Ole Miss, gone now
That class was better with MSU having a good bit of success out of that class.
Tig Barksdale, Chris Garrett, Pat Patterson, Dennis Thames, Clayton Moore, and Rod Woodson half the DD is out of DI football.
If Mullen possessed the high ethics, morals & integrity of Steve Spurrier, he would release this statement:
“Dennis Thames is returning to the team on a probationary basis and still has to do some things here for the next two or three months to prove himself worthy of being a student-athlete at Mississippi State. We will give him another chance and hopefully he can do the right things and represent the University in a first-class manner.”
Why is it the only SEC coaches in the Helpin' business are Houston Nutt & Steve Spurrier?

wouldn't surprise me. Hell, he got popped right after he signed with us for being blazed and riding around in Philadelphia.
Seriously though, this sucks, because I think Thames was going to be a solid contributor for us. Also, you can laugh about his pre and post-game antics all you want, but he fired the team up and was a good locker room guy.
I know it was a typo, but Bumphis is at MSU.
David Connor never enrolled at UAB. He sat out and then began attending classes at NWCC, but didn't play. He is telling people that he will play at NWCC this upcoming season.
Andre Wadley may still be attending Auburn, but I don't think he is playing football. He fell out during a workout at Auburn before he ever suited up. He is on medical scholarship now I believe.
