I had good sources say he did whatever he wanted and the coaches knew not to say anything. I don't have a lot of inside information, but that was one of the few things that I had. Lol

Stoops did not handle nil well especially at first. At the same time, if we're honest a school like uk immediately lost all leverage it had with top level guys in the program. So they did what they thought they had to. While the program was worse for trying to continuously force touches to Brown and letting deonne just freelance, imagine the fan fallout of them leaving at the time.

You can’t worry about “fan fallout”. You just admitted that the program was worse off for the way they handled Brown and Walker. I’ve been a teacher and a coach and you can’t have two sets of rules…it will bite you in the *** eventually.

I just admitted? I posted this exact thing for years on the rivals board. People used to call me crazy saying we needed them.

Stein is a much better fit in the nil era for sure. I loved how he handled the Seneca driver recruitment.

Nobody said he wasn’t a good kid. He did what about 90% of all 20 year olds will do in his situation…screw off if not held accountable.

Stoops did well developing 2 and 3 star kids who had something to prove. He didn’t do well handling the so-called star recruits
