saying we run the WCO. We still can't run the ball up the middle and that is our biggest problem. i did like the fact we gave it to our fullback twice in short yardage situations and i would love to see QB sneak with less than a yard on a quick count. It's almost impossible to stop in college.

On Wednesday, the coach said there's nothing new.

Four days earlier, he said there was plenty new.

The offensive coordinator, again on Wednesday, said there were different offensive sets.

And the star running back? He says everything's changed.

Confused yet? Try figuring out Mississippi State's offense, which on one hand seems ready with a new, retro approach for the second half of the season - which starts Saturday at Tennessee (2-4, 0-3 SEC).

"Dixon's107 yards were a season-high, but most importantly, his 27 carries were easily a season-high."

Only at State is this considered a really good day

And my favorite-

"But hey, that's my fault - we were doing too much of that stuff. We're going to line up in the 'I' and run right at people. If we can't win doing that, we're not going to win."

well, I know 3 games and possibly 4 we arent going to win doing that ****...

games running the offense we did against Vandy. I don't see our defense holding any of our 6 remaining opponents to 14 points or less. Running a smashmouth offense, just because our coaches are too incompetent to run anything else, is not the way to win games. What the hell happened to the pass plays that we ran against LSU? It looked like we found something that kind of worked and then we run the West Croom impotent offense against Vandy.

Typical Crxxm is trying to out finesse a team which you have an advantage along LOS (LaTech) and then saying you are going to trade punches with one of the biggest most physical teams in the conference.

Maybe...just maybe though...Crxxm is blowing smoke. Surely, we will not exclusively run out of the I all night and maybe he has learned you don't tell the other coach what you plan to do 4 days before the game.

From McCorvey's comments it seems as if the staff has been split on the direction the offense should go.

Hence Croom's words after Saturday's game, which gave State fans who were growing weary of the team's stagnant offense - based on West Coast principles since Croom's arrival - reason to think it was changing.
Were??? We rack up an astounding 247 yards of total offense at home, dropping us to 104th in the nation, and we've apparently turned the corner? Nice job Croom. I'm glad we're now on the right track.

Good god, this guy makes my head explode
