-Eric Lee jumps Lamar Jackson
-Farmer starter at Center
-Boe Wilson in at RG
-Warner starter at WR over Williams
-Ziggy starter at RB
-Honas not in two deep

But, Dedrick Young still safe. Guy has to have something on the university at this point.

I thought that Honas got injured in the Purdue game? If so, could that be the reason he is not on the 2-deep? He sure looked like a gamer when he has played.

Yeah. How the F that Dedrick stays on is nuts. Get rid of him.. Just play Colin Miller and say F it.

Because hard as it is to imagine, the guys behind him must be doing it even worse.

Looked like Honas got his left knee in that game. Really sucks, I thought he'd start for sure and be an impact player. I was wrong about him and way wrong about Dixon.

My guess is too that Farmer is starting at center because Conrad is injured. And Honas is also injured.

I am glad to see Jackson finally demoted. He has been the starter based only on his hype as a player coming out of high school. Because he has been awful now for two years.

It stinks that Mick is also injured. Because Carlos Davis is also one of the most overhyped players on the team. For three years we have heard endlessly about the "promise" he and his brother show. But neither one is a difference maker on any level. Very mediocre players.

Not questioning his effort, but decision making needs improvement, same with other Inside Backers.

I would say the jury is still out on both. Heck, both could still RS.

So is Mick though. He may be strong, but he is not that good. Damion Daniels is way better.

Yep. Mick is too tall to play nose tackle in my view. He is really solid on many plays when he has sound technique because he is a big strong guy. But if he loses his leverage and plays with his pads too high, he gets taken out of the play quite easily. Daniels is the answer long term. Not Carlos Davis.

I agree. Carlos is much better suited at DE, love Danniels at NT.

I agree. I'd also like to see more of Deontre Thomas. He was one of the lone bright spots last year, and I think he has done some decent things this year, just isn't getting much play. Hope to see him possibly get a few more snaps.

Mick is likely done or will re-appear later in the season.

The depth chart on offense tells me that unit could be both experienced and talented in 2020:

T — Four-year starter Brenden Jaimes (Sr.)
T — Three-year starter Matt Farniok (Sr.)
G — Three-year starter Boe Wilson (Sr.)
G — Two-year starter John Raridon (Sr.)
C — Hunter Miller/Trent Hixson (Jr.)
WR — Veteran Tyjon Lindsay (Sr.) or Andre Hunt or Jaevon McQuitty
WR — Four-year starter J.D. Spielman (Sr.)
WR — Three-year starter Kade Warner (Jr.)
TE — Three-year starter Jack Stoll (Sr.)
QB — Three-year starter Adrian Martinez (Jr.)
RB — Veteran Maurice Washington (Jr.)

We don't have as much projectable talent on defense because we're still playing quite a few juniors and seniors, but the offense — which is already showing some promise — could be very potent in the short term if you project only those players already on the roster.

Hopefully Bland can come in and make a difference. Raridon was passed up by a walk-on. I hope he develops. But we still need a big infusion of talent on the o-line.

I wonder what Mike Williams' issue is. They say he is pound fo pound the strongest player on the team. Slow blinker or effort problems?

I understand what you’re saying, and agree that an infusion of talent would be awesome. But I will say that if our oline is still together two years from now they should be a lot stronger and more cohesive and understand what the coaches are asking for. So even if it’s just these guys, I think they will be much improved.

Mick is much more of 3-4 DE than NG. Damion is going to be a star here just give him some time he's only a RS Freshman.

I think Bland will be our starting C the next two years. Currently the #1 JUCO OL in the county. Hopefully we get the JUCO OT from GCCC too, so we can move Farniok inside.

That's great. Thanks for making the picture even rosier. I will hold back on Bamidele Olaseni until he's N. This still has the potential to be a top 10 offense in 2020, if not as early as 2019.

You guys are something. You are now giving up on the 2019 season as well?

If we learned anything from the past it should be to worry about the here and now because about 25-30% of those players won’t be here in 2020.

I didn't take it as that, I think they are just looking at the larger picture. Personally I think if we could finish strong, and at least get people back on the right track and reenergize the fan base, 2019 could set up for a fun year. I think the bad part is all of the air is out of the balloon. There is an opportunity to blow that ballon back up somewhat by the end of the year. If you could gel and knock off a few teams, that would be huge in building for 2019 and beyond. Do I think it can happen???? Rose colored glasses say maybe, but I guess we will see after this weekend.

Wisconsin is going to punch us really hard in the mouth. Hopefully we show some fight, and maybe get a few big plays through the air to make it interesting and turn some heads. I'm skeptical this will happen, but maybe sometime soon we can start putting it all together.

I always thought Mick would have been better suited as an O-lineman.
