Had $30 to win on Empire, who as is my life long habit at the races, got nipped at the wire. For a casual gambler, GD it, happens every other time I bet a race.
Anyway, thought his jockey screwed up, moved too soon, had nothing left in the final 1/16 or so, should have won by 2 or 3 lengths easy.
To bring up and old subject but remember a couple years ago when California Chrome's idiot owner said that to run in the Belmont you should have to run in the other 2? If that were the case this year it would be a walkover for Classic Empire as he is the only one being considered for it. It shows just how stupid that comment was.
