isn't really a stretch, UT needs stability after the fulmer and kiffin sagas and dooley provides that, much like croom he will clean up the program and get it pointed in the right direction. for the lack of wins under croom, he did good things for the program, he cleaned it up and instilled some virtue and respectability. dooley is similar to croom in that way - honorable and upstanding. i don't think he can get them to next level, again like croom but he'll get them headed in the right direction.
as a saban disciple he believes in "the process" for what that's worth.
one thing is for sure, dooley is no dan mullen.
