Or maybe scores 5 points depending on how you want to evaluate it.

Well, that fumble was pretty much his fault, but he did prevent Seattle from recovering for 7. By my math that is... probably still -2.

The state fan in me hates it for him

The fantasy team owner in me is content with it.

I fell asleep earlier on in the game and missed this completely. Was this pretty much Sherrod's only big lapse or was it a pretty bad night for him across the board?

I realize that it would be a pretty big one, but from what I saw of the game, Green Bay didn't look very good anyplace. Some of the fans are downright cruel about Sherrod on twitter, but some fans are just jerks when their team doesn't win.

I don't think he was very good all around, but neither was the rest of Green Bay compared to that Seattle D. That particular play was the only time he was really noticeable, but it was bad. The guy just brushed him aside, blew past him, and caused the fumble that Sherrod recovered for the safety.

The series before he had made a great block on the de and they even commented on it then it went south on him from there. He gave up the sack when they went for it on 4th down in the 3rd then the safety play later. I think he may have even been pulled after that

I feel for Sherrod. I was hoping that he would do good when he got an opportunity. Going up against the best D in the NFL sure didn't help.

Knocking off two years of rust against maybe the best rush end in the NFL

is not a good way to ease back into the game. He will be ok.

If you watched the whole game, I don't think he looked as bad as they made out. He did give up the sack/forced fumble in a pathetic attempt at blocking, but he also made a lot of good blocks. The announcers exaggerated his struggles a bit which probably fed some of the discontent and twitter comments. If you watched all the plays, he made a lot of good blocks too. I saw at least a couple of pancake style blocks, but the announcers didn't comment on those. One freed up Lacy or Starks around the right side for a 15 yard gain or so. He deserves criticism for his mistakes but I think they blew it out of proportion because he was a sub. The rest of GB's line got plenty of holding calls and gave up sacks and pressure as well. Definitely rusty but not as bad as they made out and I think the film will show it.

I agree. When I watched him, except for that play, he did look good, blocking out the DE/OLB and opening up the RBs and allowing Rodgers to scramble easily in the pocket.

Agree he did play well but those two bad plays really stuck out unfortunately.

Looked petty good early, they they loaded up on him. Still had his good plays and a couple bad. It looked like the whole offensive line struggled.

As soon as I saw a clip begin with him highlighted I knew it wouldn't be good

Like someone already mentioned, the only time they ever talk about a lineman is when they're holding, missed a block, cut block someone at the knees, or (less commonly) completely plant someone in the turf.

We still like you around here, Derek.
