Great game tonight.

He might not be the most offensively gifted but he’s scrappy, fights for positioning and has a quick step.

That pass he had was incredible. He had a few big boards as well.

I like what I’ve seen from him so far and think he plays a big role this year.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets more play than Acuff through the season.

He really does have Paul's game. Love his tenacity. Will benefit RU much more than harm us in important spots. He seems to do pretty much everything a shade below Mulcahy. However, Mulcahy was always a focal point of RU's offensive attack and the distributor. Derkack doesn't have to carry that load; he can let game come to him.

If referring to Shelby’s comment last week, it was that he expected more basketball ability from Derkack but Martini and Sommerville played better than expected.

He said Derkack reminded him of his own no-talent hack offense game many moons ago. No fluidity, no touch, looking more to make contact and get to the line than make baskets.

Hustle guy, sure. Need that energy and rebounding fight. But not much scoring ability.

Dercack is some tough nosed gritty kid.

Love his toughness and basketball savvy!

Amazing all the rebounds he got at end of game while playing the 4.

His brother is supposedly a stud. Hopefully Pike recruits him hard !

Shelby speaks the same way. It’s both ingenious and also great fun for Shelby.

Dercack and Martini are Pike s type of players !

They play tough and smart basketball on both sides of the ball !
We’re very fortunate to have both !

In close games, both will be on the court at end of games !

We have some really good depth this year. Hayes only had 4 shots for 5 points but he led the team with 7 rebounds in just 20 minutes. He is also playing very well. Davis played well tonight also as did Sommerville, Martini, Derkack, and Harper. Actually all 9 guys cntributed to the win.

As I've said many times here after he committed he's not a superstar but 1) he's better than Griffiths 2) if he was a 9th or 10th man like people on this board including moderators suggested then we must have a hell of a team (eye roll).
