For locking that thread after calling me out but before I could respond. A friend was in the Bartlett Sams around 4:30 and an announcement was made that the store was closing immediately and everyone had to leave right away. When they asked why, they were told “because they are looting”. Walmart and Sams closed at the same time, they are side by side. I was sent photos from someone who works at the Walmart at Whitten and I-40. He wasn’t there today but was sent those photos by someone who was. Sam’s and Walmart’s in the Memphis area closed early today for some reason. Y’all should all check out the Facebook live feed on Fox13’s website. I don’t understand how those cops are able to remain calm with what they are going through right now.

Memphis news stations have more than one crew. The only place that there is any information about Bartlett Walmart is the one post of pictures on Facebook which leads me to believe that it’s fake.

The small PDs felt there was a creditable threat of antifa coming up from Atlanta and wherever.

Maybe the information wasn't accurate regarding antifa. But that's why things closed early.

It's best just to delete your FB app during times like this (or permanently). Saw someone sharing a story yesterday from when the Dallas police officers where shot - back in 2016.

nope, it was more for my personal knowledge. my sister works for a news channel in Memphis, so I am sure she would know before anyone here...she works all kinds of odd hours, so i dont bother her.
