Not even close. Half the program problem is we are so unidentified. That it causes all these micromanaged issues. What happens when we got an identity. Other teams have to micro manage against us. Took auburn 3 try's. Far from demise. We just got 1st year coach issues. No crap. Most are 1st year players. Cause hagans richards quick Montgomery make same darn mistakes still. Thats alot of micromanagement. Utah as good as o state? Not even close. I didnt see much change from o state today vs 7 games a go. They got strong identity. They go to zone. We yet again played terrible. Was no change from playing terrible when they werent in zone. Etc, etc.
Decline started in 2015, since 2017 we haven't been title contenders. Cal Kool-Aid drinkers will tell you differently, but contenders don't lose to Weber and Pearl in the tourney. And don't even get me started on this year's trainwreck of a team
Doesnt mean we go to ncaat. But 2015 team didnt go final 4 undefeated cause 2013 went nit. Remember that. Each year is year 1. Just what our start identity is every season. Im sick of the product. Jim Beam for me. No call for the good stuff. But a top recruiting class coming in next year and a monster group of football lineman on the way. Still a rough patch. Our best player tonight is a grad transfer on his way to Europe. Better days to come.
