Absolutely not. I see it more of Detz taking over 2nd Base or taking over the DH

duties on the days when Rea is starting at 1st.

Didn't realize he could play 2b. Assuming he can that would make our lineup much better

I would honestly rather have Rea at 1b, Detz at 3b (I'm just assuming that he can play here), and move Henderson back to 2nd. Then have Robson and Armstrong battle for LF.

ETA: I just feel that Norris is a big liability in the field, and his bat doesn't make up for it enough.

I think, once Rea gets healthy,

Detz will be moved over to 2nd (unless his D is just horrible). The guy leads our team in RBIs. You cannot take his stick out of the lineup.

Norris

def hasn't been overly impressive at the plate, this year, and his D is subpar for sure. I'm not so sure I want us sitting him, though.

If we do it'll be Flair not Frost starting. It better be at least.

Im still in the Norris camp though.

I agree that Norris is our best option, right now. No way I want Frost there. He cannot throw it to first from third.

I'm kind of disappointed in Flair. As much as we've heard about his potential, we've yet to really see it. He's made pretty solid contact, the few chances he's gotten, though. Between him and Norris, I hope one of them steps up and separates themselves.

Hell he's only had 6 at bats and 3 hits in those. We had to wait 3 years for Renfroe

I swear,

I thought he had for a game, too, but I just looked through the box scores and couldn't see where he had. I could have very well just missed it, though.

This is pretty funny since I was the one that first mentioned Detz as a second baseman as a way to get him into the lineup. In fact, you probably wouldn't even know that he played second base if I hadn't mentioned it to start with.

Maybe you should "educate" us on how we are going to be worse this year in hitting again?

This is correct. Rea is by far our best defensive first baseman. We need Rea's bat in the lineup as well.

I'd love to see Norris at 1st, detz 2b, and flair 3b on Tuesday. Norris was solid at 1b as a freshman and how bad can detz and flair possibly be?

Then as a late defensive substitution bring in pirtle at 2b and slide detz to third. Would allow us to use frost as a pr which is where he is a great asset. Armstrong, frost, robson would be a catchers nightmare (as long as we aren't stealing third with 1 out)
