It really sucks, especially considering how under-used he was when he got back from injury this past season. Watch Reggie run on the middle on 3rd and 2 was really beginning to piss me off. Guess we're stuck in that route now

That thought crossed my mind yesterday when I saw that he was released. I wouldn't mind the Saints picking him up. Like you said, I think he can be a good back if he has a limited workload and can stay somewhat healthy.

chunk of salary cap and wasn't really doing much. His time is up. I imagine that they will continue to use pierre thomas and bush in the same roles they used them last year. I see this as a plus in that there will be alot of money freed up to buy some defensive help.

maybe the Saints will resign him to minimum vet contract. Even considering his knees and several steps slower, he is still a pretty good #3 or #4 RB. If Thomas had to miss a couple of games, I would feel comfortable with Deuce filling in.
