Thomas was injured last year and Ellis just got eligible a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't hinge my season on that if I was Pope either. Why not get 3 guys that could all be your PG and see which on wins out?

the point i think he was trying to make is that if this season goes in the wrong direction, i dont think it will be because we missed out on mitchell. it was because we missed out on getting a SEC level PG and SG.

Yeah probably true. I like our PF combo. They aren't stars but the two of them make one solid player. Reminds me of the early Tubby years with Estill/Stone and then Estill/Camara.

Personally, I’d be worried if one of our best players came from a sub .500 team. This is a good thing he’s not. He’s got potential to grow into a really good player. Be patient.
