I probably missed it (I didn't follow his recruitment as closely as some others), but why didn't he sign with someone for this season? I was thinking he graduated at mid-year but I see that isn't the case.

No, I'm wondering why he didn't sign with someone last spring and enroll the past fall. He could have played a full season this year.
May of not had the grades.. That was a rumor going around on him being collegiate eligible for next year..

Disagree. There are only 2 options for Diallo. He sees major minutes or he doesn't play at all. I'm going with the latter.
The part I don't understand is, if you can get in at the end of blow outs and get a bit of a feel, at the very minimum, why wouldn't you? It isn't like he needs to make sure he doesn't waste a year or something. He doesn't plan on being here 4 years.

Diallo recently said he's not sure if he's going to play or not this year. Sounds like if he does well in practice and catches up quickly AND if he and Cal think he can help this season gen he will play.

I don't disagree. I just don't see it happening but who knows.

Im going with not any.. To play major mins he'd take away from hawk or mulder.. And Cal is pretty loyal to players once they're in the rotation.. That's by going off your take.. When I said some mins i meant at end of blowouts.. Which i could see possible..

Could be I just think he either plays or redshirts by choice. Don't think he gains anything by playing mop up minutes except risk injury when he nothing to gain. It won't show NBA scouts anything by playing with Brad and Johnny David.

Color me crazy, but I see cal playing him some in certain games this yr, in garbage time. He will not play when the game is on the line because he's so far behind but I fully expect cal to put him in at some point not only to get him a little time but to get a huge roar from the crowd as I see it being at rupp. He may even play him on senior day towards the end of the game just to give us a sneak peak of what's to come. As long as he is eligible cal will put him in a game sometime this year

SI seems to think he goes to the draft this year and some draft boards have him in the first round. I would say cal brought him in to see if he can help and will advise him when the draft comes around like he does all his players. There is a rumor that has made the rounds that diallo will not play this year and made a pledge to be here next season. I don't think that is the case honestly. I think someone made it up and this guy is no different than anyone else on the roster. How cal could have a first rd pick on the roster and not play him or get him to the league I just don't see that happening

In my opinion this is a 4 month prep for the draft. Do you really think he'll be here next year? I haven't followed his recruitment very closely because I've thought this from the beginning. I would love to be wrong...
