Diaz might be the most quoteable coach we've had.

"You know, there were a couple times we got them on third down where we
were going back and forth and playing a little bit of chess match. On
first down, it was roll up your sleeves and play rock 'em, sock 'em
robot. Third down is where we like to have a little more fun. Third down
is recess."

...one of the announcers said Diaz described stopping Michigan's offense as the defense needing to set up a wall up front and your job as a defender was to make sure you kept your door shut.

It made me hate Tyrone Nix even more. That's exactly how you stop a spread option or any option attack. Stay in your gaps and don't open holes for the offense. Options thrive on over-aggressive defenses.

Diaz knows what he's doing. The sample size is small but right now I'd say he's the one assistant Mullen needs to devote most of his money to keep.

Nutt is buying his own Cotton Bowl hype. Some outstanding players won in spite of coaching. But now the Rebels needs some coaching and aren't getting it. But Nutt just can't get rid of coaches who went to back to back Cotton Bowls, right...

Coaching at State has never been as good as it is now on both sides of the ball. Not just he head coach - the OC, DC, strength, and position coaches as well. Coaching at Ole Miss....well its been worse just once when Ed O was there but that's not saying much.

You seem to be forgetting the coaching disparity seen during the 2008 Egg Bowl. Once we fire Nutt you'll know that we've had enough.

I highly doubt this.

I have not forgotten 2008. 2008 was more about the team's statement on Croom than it was about any coaching from Croom during that game.

You're not saying that they tanked the Egg Bowl are you? Even if it was to get rid of Croom and for the ultimate better of the program, that's still pretty crappy. Even if it is true, I would hope that my poorly prepared and coached theory is what actually happened.
