Did anyone else get a bad feeling about how Troy's offense resembles what we've

been seeing out of OMU so far this season? Our defense was REAL bad tonight. And as I type that Ole Miss scores a TD

This defense will have to improve exponentially to keep UM from gashing their asses. 572 yards of offense tonight from a Sunbelt team. And that is without a single TD from their QB. What do you think Bo Wallace and Moncrief will do to these dregs?

I'm much more concerned about UT. Bray is the real deal and his receivers go up an get the ball. I missed the second half of the FL game, so I'm not sure where it all went wrong, but they looked really good early.

No, it wasnt.

we waited on them to do what they were wanting to do. Throw long. They lost because of it. Had they had the patience, they would have been in the game longer.

We won by less than a td. How much more in the game do you want?

I agree that our defense was inexcusable tonight, but Bo Wallace can't throw the football with near the ability of the the Troy QB tonight. Say what you want, but that dude was very good.

We made the game clinching first down with, what, 2-3 minutes to go? How much longer than 57-58 minutes do you expect a Sunbelt team to stay in a game with a SEC team?

My thoughts exactly. We'll be playing with a lot more emotion against OM though.

Say what you want about the Sun Belt...

...but a "Sun Belt" team beat the number 8 team in the nation and the penciled-in 3rd/4th best team in the SEC. A "Sun Belt" team played Auburn to OT. A "Sun Belt" team beat Kentucky. A "Sun Belt" team played their butts off and gave us a game. We're 3-0 and that's better than some right now.

There's no way this can be true. Coach34 told me we have a Top 10 defense in the country because he's been a coach before and knows what he's talking about.

Hey coach, I hear Belk is hiring.

I don't understand why we never applied any pressure...

We 17'd around and got 500-ish yards of offense without seemingly ever having the ball. That is impressive to me.

I have to assume that our coaching staff had a master plan on defense. Obviously, we wanted them to throw deep and we made them pay when they did. However, I hope we don't see this defensive gameplan again. If the black bear offense resembles Troy's, were we trying to avoid giving them something to review by playing prevent the entire game??

We played as close to the vest all over as I have ever seen.

Oddly enough, not having a FG kicker iced the game for us on the late TD to Bumphis... I missed the FG that we made, but at least we have one on the books this season.

Not meaning to sound arrogant but....nope.jpg

If UT's offense can score 52 before the 4th quarter, I'm not too concerned with it

Being at the game, it was obvious we were seriously confused at times. Very sloppy and unprepared looking at times. Plus we played our backups a lot more than I expected and would have liked.

Actually i believe this will be a great learning experience and prepare us for teams like UM and Tenn. No better way to prepare for an offense like that than to face it and get firsthand experience... And a lot of our guys got that tonight.
