Did anyone else see the Baxendale/ Mathis situation just then in the OM game?

needs someone to break his face for him. Ridiculous to throw at a kids head like that, and make no mistake, it was absolutely on purpose.
That play was ridiculous, and how he acted after the inning was even worse. You could tell during "high fives" that his teammates really, really hate him.
Goes a long way toward explaining why a preseason top 5 Arkansas team, a lock for Omaha, has underperformed so greatly this year. You can accumulate all the talent in the world, but if they don't have/develop chemistry, you will not be successful long-term in baseball.
Contrasted with our less-talented team that sticks together and finds ways to win, and ties for 2nd in the west twice, when picked 5th and 6th.
