On the way home, we discussed whether this would be an excellent time for our beloved Jack to wrap up a great career... maybe just do voice-overs for ads, team promos, etc. Thoughts?

Jack has become stoic. Stoic is not what you want in a sports broadcaster.

I don't know why he's not shown the door. If Hank Flick can go, surely Jack can go too. Flick had A LOT more to offer than Jack has the last several years.

I have seen him climb the 2 steps it takes to get to the Cellular South fanfare stage in The Junction. It took some effort.

I think he's too old and/or medicated to summon any excitement during his broadcasts. And no I'm not being crude.
