the way AD would turn his shoulders after the ball was snapped (like a fake or misdirection of some kind) last year? i have not noticed any of the backs this year doing it and i am fairly sure AD didn't do it before mullen, so was it a back-specific thing or just something he did last year and decided not to do it this year?

and we've done it this year. We just haven't run it as well and so we haven't run it as much.

If you look at last years film, you'll see that Elliot and Ducre have done it too when the counter was called for them. As for why they do the turn... I really don't know the usefulness behind it, since it's too quick to really trick the defense into thinking the play is going in the direction that they twist to. I guess it's just easily identifiable, so that when run enough, it'll lull the defenders into a false sense of expecting the counter to be ran the moment they see the back twist, but low and behold it's really a play action. That's...my idea of it.

thanks - just haven't been paying close enough attention, a little trick-a-ration never hurts...as long as it works.
