Did anyone see Osby refuse to join the huddle Saturday?

I heard it second hand that Romero refused to go into the huddle and sat on the end of the bench in the second half against NC. Just wondering if this was true.

But I did see Dee ignore the **** out of Stans as the team went to the bench during a timeout. Stans appeared to be pointing at the spot Dee had just taken one of his spot-up 3s with 31 seconds on the shot clock from while asking "why." Dee just stared off into space and didn't seem to acknowlege Stans was yelling into his ear.

Didn't see Osby do it, but did see both Kodi and Dee sit down way off from the team during one TO. Also when Dee was out of the game in the 2nd half he wasn't on the sideline with him teammates, he was sitting down by the pom squad.

Stans has to show up and take some leadership as it's become pretty clear that most of the players do not respect him or his authority very much.

Yes, Osby did look really frustrated for some reason and didn't join the huddle for the first few minutes until Kirby came over and talked to him, then he went back over.

I'm not that impressed with osby. To me, it looks like he is scared about 75% of the time, when he's out there. Not that aggressive beast of a forward that we need out of him. He should have been much further along by the end of his soph yr. Just my opinion.

Barry and Jarvis are two kids that improved each year they were hear, and havnt bitched or griped about playing time. They never quit on their team (Ravern, mouthed off to the press (Kodi), or sulked on the bench (Osbry). We are going to miss them.

that was the main problem all year...we have got to get away from the players who are "me first" and the coach is out after me(or is not the boss)before we will ever be able to compete on the stage we want to...strongly suspect thats why Hansborough left year before last..Dee is a tremendous talent, but doesn't do the mental things on court he needs to, and we don't have a player who does....we have got to have a "floor leader" and I don't know who that is going to be...

He was out of the game for a while and just sat at the very end of the bench with a towel around his face. He didn't even look interested in what was going on whatsoever. I may be wrong, but I think season was really starting to take a toll on him for having no solid backup throughout the season.

The tv announcers went on about it for the last 5 min or so of the first half. What they failed to realize (or at least mention) was that he already had 2 fouls and knew he was going to be sitting on the bench the rest of the half. That is what I thought at least

RS is a players' coach, he is not a disciplinarian. He never has been, and Saturday he proved it again when NC went on that 16-1 run. No time out to calm the troops down, just let them come down and jack 3's with 29 seconds on the shot clock. His teams play with no emotion because he coaches with no emotion. How many technicals has he gotten in his 12 years at State? It can't be many at all, and he doesn't work the refs like other tenured coaches do, ie Donovon, Pearl, Calipari, but I digress. The man allows too much slack for his players, and it is beginning to really show.

That's all fine as long as somebody on the bench fills the roles you mentioned. Unfortunately for us, it appears we have none. You can insert ability to coach Xs and Os as well.
