Did anyone see the "One Night in March" documentary on ESPN Classic tonight?

I caught it in the middle, and must say that it was very well done and made our university look very good. Something to be very proud of.

For those who dont know, it is about our 1963 team that "snuck" out of the state to play in the NCAA Tourny vs. Loyola, all against Ross Barnett's orders as well as several state senators. Dean Colvard and Babe McCarthy should have their names hung in the rafters at the Hump next to Baily Howell's banner for their actions. </p>

I was told LT hated the piece and would not have anything to do with or let it be shown on campus. Typical. </p>

Did anyone see the "One Night in March" documentary on ESPN Classic tonight?

Commemorating the 45th anniversary of the historic 1963 team. Unfortunately they didn't explain during anything during the presentation about how the team had to sneak out of town. I had to explain the historical significance to a couple of younger folks sitting with me who hadn't heard the story. It was like the whole "sneaking out of town" because of our segregationist governor part of the story didn't exist. I guess since Larry was still in charge back then, that probably explains the lack of clarity in the presentation.

I saw it several years ago on I think on Sports South. I thought it was avaliable on DVD? I have not seen it since and would love to have a copy. You know back in those days just getting invited was like making the final four today. It was a big deal.
