Did I miss the part about Liggins not qualifying at LSU?

I guess between him and the kid from Georgia, we ended up in exactly the same position — two scholarship QBs.

they have mettenberger, rivers and now bolden from psu. 2 pretty good qb's and an unknown. while we have one proven qb and one unknown.<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>

I meant that we were going so sign Liggins or the GA kid. So either way, we would have ended up with two schollie QBs.

but mettenberger is a "pretty good QB"?

Im not sure how Bolden qualifies as a "pretty good QB" either but he at least has BCS conf experience.

that Metzenberger has at least taken a college snap (but only against a I-AA team). It's funny how people think they're going to be somehow upgraded at QB when they lost their top 2 QBs and are now starting the 3rd string guy from last year.

The only problem will be if Miles falls in love with the PSU transfer the way he did Jefferson.

But you're right, it's expecting a lot out of the guy to think he will be a clear upgrade over Lee, who for the most part managed the game well and was (and would have continue to be) a great qb for what Miles wanted to do.

Even if Mezenberger has more talent, I doubt Miles will cut him loose enough for anybody to see it.

so prescott is a known commodity outside of the msu fanbase? i'm not saying he is not any good but we have no idea how good he will be, he has not stepped on the field. mettenberger was a huge recruit and played well in mop-up duty. i believe bolden is the only freshmen qb to ever start for psu. most people who follow college football know both those names. so yes, right now they are in a better position than us seeing as they have two players with experience who have been in college multiple years.<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>

both in name and performance but Mettenberger is just as much an unknown in performance which is all that matters. Yes, people know his name to some degree but you can't classify him as a "pretty good quarterback."

and i think it's safe to say that we're both in trouble if our #1's go down<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>

my wife had several teaching re-certification classes with a teacher from Lafayette, and that woman told her that Liggins hadn't taken a test without "help"sincehe'd been in school there. It would have been a minor miracle for him to qualify anywhere.

I realize that this is isn't exactly a groundbreaking occurrence for a HS athlete, but just sayin...

and we will go back to running the same offense. Differences will be that Dak will start hitting some of those passes Relf never could- but will he have Relf's durability? Cant answer that till he plays

i would feel more comfortable with him being back there as far as passing, but he still hasn't taken the lumps nor has he got aquitted to the speed of the sec. if it comes down to him having to take most of the snaps, i would be elated to be in nashville again. here's hoping that tyler remains the guy. i know you've been tough on him throughout his years, so what do you honestly think he is capable of this year (expectations)?<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>
