You got Ohio St players being suspended NEXT year, the Cam precedent and also the Shmuley post where Alabama is basically daring the NCAA to do something about their paying thousands of dollars to practice at the high school of two of their top recruits. One question pertaining to Ohio State...what if Terrell had been a senior this year? I'm guessing he would have been forced to sit out the coin toss.
The NCAA owes Southen Cal a huge apology after what they've let Auburn and Ohio St. get away with this year. It's clear the NCAA doesn't care about the rules, all they care about is the money.
The athletic director is quoted in this article (http://www.foxsportsohio....=378840&feedID=3724) as saying, "These young men went into these decisions with the right intent, to help their families." WTF. I know there were a couple of other things involved, but how does getting a tatoo "help their families." Hilarious.
but sit them out next year. Hell, half of them will leave school if they have to miss 5 games. Ohio State plays such a cream puff schedule at the first of every year.
They will lose anyway against UPig. So here is the defense for future athletes, just claim you didn't know the rules. I just wished it worked like this in the real world. Did I mention 17 you NCAA. Where's the Tylenol!</p>
Exactly. Cam didn't know his dad was asking for money, so how can you punish him..... I guess from now on we should just go to the parents of every big name recruit we want and tell them we will pay them x amount of money if they get their son to play for our school. And as long as the recruit doesn't know anything about it or doesn't know it was wrong, then everything is ok. The NCAA has become a joke.
