Not saying I necessarily agree with her, but she’s arguing that UCLA only played 2 OOC NCAA Toirney teams, the other besides us being Louisville, while we played 8 OOC NCAA Tourney teams. I suppose her argument is any team is bound to trip up when playing that tough of an OOC schedule so why do it if the team isn’t going to be rewarded for it.The only thing that changes is that we'll wear white uniforms in every game we play except if we play UCLA.
I'm usually on board with almost anything Staley speaks to, but b1tch1ng about getting the overall #2 seed (and blowing out the overall #63 seed) given the losses to UCLA and (the way we lost to) Connecticut has me scratching my head.
Can someone offer a realistic insight into her "disappointment?" I hope she's not inspired to softening future schedules with more creampuffs. Would rather see her go for a home and home with Indiana.
Thanks for the insight. I'd rather lose the games we did thank beat someone like Tenn Tech TTU by 60. I think the #2 overall seed is the reward. And again, as long as Staley's squad keeps winning, they'll continue to wear white uniforms until/if they play UCLA.Not saying I necessarily agree with her, but she’s arguing that UCLA only played 2 OOC NCAA Toirney teams, the other besides us being Louisville, while we played 8 OOC NCAA Tourney teams. Again, not saying I agree with it though. I mean, you can play the hardest schedule in the world, but should only be rewarded for it if you win. The simple fact is we lost two of those games and lost them badly. So, doesn’t sound like a very strong argument to me, especially given the head to head.
Not a leg to stand on, given the magnitude of two of our losses. They undid a lot of Quad 1 win cred. The only thing that changes is that we'll wear white uniforms in every game we play except if we play UCLA.

I like it, but man UCLA and UCONN look reeaaalll good. Betts is a giant, and we don’t have anyone who can match her up, and Bueckers, Fudd, and Strong look blazing right now. It’s gonna be some great bball!I think Dawn is just finding something to motivate her team. We are in perfect position. At the #2 seed, we don't have to see UCLA, UConn, or USC until the final game. I like our chances in a Semi-Final matchup against Texas or Notre Dame. USC probably falls out of the picture with JuJu's injury last night. We handle our business and it's us against UCLA or UConn for the chance at another championship. I like having a motivated team against either one of those opponents.
