It’s logical in the sense that Oweh would be the highest paid to keep him on board.
Just for "s**ts and jiggles" as they say, what do you think the payroll would be for the 96 team, 2012 team, 2015 team?
I truly wouldn't know where to start guessing on what those guys would have been paid if openly legal back then.
96 team...probably would have broken the bank
2012 team...close to the 96 but not in the same $$$ bracket for the entire team
2015 team might have set a new record for pay outs.

With the numbers we see getting thrown around, this really doesn’t seem all that off track.
Interesting question; how much is the Kentucky basketball experience, 10 career minutes, a Senior night, and a degree worth? What would a person be willing to pay for the "walk on package"?
Darius Miller may be the most under appreciated cat I can remember. National champion. Maybe he takes a pay cut for being a Kentucky boy. 1.2 mil lol
Lowe at 3 million is a little surprising. He was third team All-ACC last season, IIRC, and the leading scorer on his team (albeit a terrible team in a fairly weak conference) so I guess that inflates his value

Only one I have trouble with is Lowe. No way he's worth 3 million.
NO ONE, I mean NO ONE knows what we've paid per player or for the team. It's impossible to know outside of the basketball office. People claiming different are lying. Period.
I have no idea except if those numbers are true some of the shooting guards we missed on don’t seem to make a lot of sense.
Respectfully, 5-800K ranges in the estimate there aren't convincing anyone. "I heard we paid between 1 and 3 million for Dioubate." I'm an insider now.

I have zero inside information, but I feel like he might have transferred after his junior year.
Idk whos accurate but perhaps these nil deal have guaranteed money then incentives that could push it much higher if we make a ff or a title. That’s how these deals should be anyway. Idk how many of these buy a roster years there will be but I hope we capitalize and be ready to spend 30 million next year. Lol

I wonder if Universities can take out insurance policies for injuries, have the insurance pay out part of the contract? Like Lloyds of London that players take out on their own bodies.

I don’t either. Either way I’m ecstatic we are at the top in the NIL pecking order —- as we should be.
To keep other schools from swooping in with a better offer and steal the player. The people signing the check know, the NIL arm of the basketball program, Pope and the player know the figure.
I assume disclosure would be after the portal period is closed, but I get your point.
