Did Sisk really say these numbers?

Just for "s**ts and jiggles" as they say, what do you think the payroll would be for the 96 team, 2012 team, 2015 team?
I truly wouldn't know where to start guessing on what those guys would have been paid if openly legal back then.
96 team...probably would have broken the bank
2012 team...close to the 96 but not in the same $$$ bracket for the entire team
2015 team might have set a new record for pay outs.

If a part time starter is getting a quarter of a million, wow, what would Darius Miller be worth?

Darius Miller may be the most under appreciated cat I can remember. National champion. Maybe he takes a pay cut for being a Kentucky boy. 1.2 mil lol

Lowe at 3 million is a little surprising. He was third team All-ACC last season, IIRC, and the leading scorer on his team (albeit a terrible team in a fairly weak conference) so I guess that inflates his value

Oweh is worth 3.5M, IMHO.

He’ll be a candidate for SEC POTY and a preseason AA, most likely.

I guess the others are okay based on the numbers being tossed around for other players.

I wouldn’t have thought Lowe would be our second highest paid player on the roster.

A friend said David Sisk said
Aberdeen/Mo D 2 million
JJ 1.5
Qweh 3.5
Lowe 3 million
Noah/Perry 250,000
Chandler 500,000
JQ- 2.5-3m
Garrison 1-2m
Moreno 1m
Williams 750k - 1m
Velasic - 1m

$20 million dollar roster.
What is the football teams roster worth?
Are the basketball teams numbers purely NIL or is their cut of revenue sharing kicking in to foot some of that bill?

Still a mind boggling amount of money that has to be raised privately.

A friend sent me a text that he read on a post somewhere:

Moreno 600,000-1,200,000
Johnson 800,000-1,400,000
Jelavic 600,000-1,200,000
Williams 1,500,000-2,200,000
Lowe 1,700,000-2,400,000
Dioubate 1,200,000-2,000,000
Quaintance 2,300,0000-2,800,000
Aberdeen 1,800,000-2,600,000
Perry 300,000-500,000
Noah 300,000-500,000
Chandler 800,000-1,400,000
Oweh 2,000,000-3,000,000
Garrison 1,800,000-2,400,000
Total, before anybody else: 15,700,000 - 23,600,000

I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA if these number are accurate, or even close, but that is what he texted me yesterday.
But, if this is accurate, I cannot imagine how we can ever expect a winning football program. Funds have to be limited.

Respectfully, 5-800K ranges in the estimate there aren't convincing anyone. "I heard we paid between 1 and 3 million for Dioubate." I'm an insider now.

Idk whos accurate but perhaps these nil deal have guaranteed money then incentives that could push it much higher if we make a ff or a title. That’s how these deals should be anyway. Idk how many of these buy a roster years there will be but I hope we capitalize and be ready to spend 30 million next year. Lol

This will probably be our highest paid team since the 80s!!
We paid Robey and Givens $500 each to speak at a Youth Ball banquet.
Different years...
Filtered it through a 101 member...
We got our money's worth. They were gracious with their time.
It is ridiculous that the rules said "NO".

My Point: Today's system is not wrong. It's capitalism at its finest.
Clearly the money is there...And players get what they are valued.

Griping about how much they get reveals how much WE are NOT worth.

I wonder if Universities can take out insurance policies for injuries, have the insurance pay out part of the contract? Like Lloyds of London that players take out on their own bodies.

I understand and certainly tend to agree, but how does a University Athletic Program continue to solicit funds if it is unwilling to share expenditures ?? Just a thought ... ??
To keep other schools from swooping in with a better offer and steal the player. The people signing the check know, the NIL arm of the basketball program, Pope and the player know the figure.

I assume disclosure would be after the portal period is closed, but I get your point.
