with who we have now, let's say we also add: 5 Star- Newton, 4 stars- Johnson, Sanders, Thompson, Wells and Robinson, 3 stars- Hughes, Ruff, Griffin. Also, just assume that he guys that aren't rated are considered 2 stars. That would give us 26 commits with an average star rating of 3.16. Right now, that rating would put us at about 14 in the nation. Not too bad for a "down year" in Mississippi.

I know this is a best case scenario of closing out our recruiting class, but it's pretty feasible. The biggest question mark to me is Vincent Sanders. All the others I'd say we probably get.</p>

I still think we have a shot at Gates who is a 3 star, and Mason as well. I'm not sold on Robinson, but I'm especially not sold on Ruff. I think he will end up at Arkansas.

Also, I don't know how much stock I'd put in him. Not bashing him, but I don't think he's a difference maker.

Being ahead of the middle of the pack teams would be great. I still think our class is underrated right now. I would bet that almost every one of the guys that hasn't been evaluated on Rivals, or is a 2 star on Scout, will be a 3 star by the time this is done. Most of them probably haven't been to combines yet. Once they play in the MS AL All Star game, a lot of them will get more recognition. I think we need to give it more time. I trust Mullen knows talented kids when he sees them, and I doubt Mullen would go after these guys if he didn't think they would help out in some way.

I wish he'd act more in the style of Marilyn Monroe. And by act in the style of, I mean polish off a bottle of pills.

I was wondering why y'all hate Arrow so much.

He did say something about Mississippi killing off our program.

And of course wash it all down with a bottle of fine champagne. Otherwise, he might not get the full effect.

I mean, the guy only has offers from several SEC schools. I guess you guys still have never lost a recruit you really want.

I'm not sure about Scout, but with Rivals average star rating doesn't really tell you everything; it's the points that matter. Remember, not all prospects with the same star rating have the same numerical rating.

Ruff has the look of an impact player at safety. I think he's a great prospect, and there's no way he ends up anywhere other than State unless he waits too long and we take somebody else there. I don't see that happening, but he's basically a State commit, just hasn't done it yet for whatever reason. He needs to hurry up and get in the boat. As for our class so far, I like it and it's about to get a lot better. We'll get just about all those guys mentioned. We may take another LB other than Hughes, though. I think we're still trying to figure out who to take there, but if we choose Hughes, I think he would immediately commit. We'll get Johnson, Wells, Thompson, Newton, and probably Robinson. Sanders is a toss-up. I could definitely see him at Ole Miss. I'm not positive about Griffin. If we keep Neal, which I think we will, I'm not sure he wouldn't go to USM, but we'll see. Also, you have to remember that other schools in that ranking will be pulling in players as well. If we get all these guys, I would think we'll be top 25 on rivals for sure, probably top 20. We'll be a little lower on scout, only about 6 of our commits would be 4's on scout unless Neal moves up.
