Did Tee Shepard even visit Mississippi?

Did he take an official visit to the bears this recruiting period before signing? No doubt he's a grade risk according to most recruiting analysts but it's kinda strange that he signed there without even an official visit.

So you don't think it is odd at all...

.... That he committed last minute to a school he never had an OV to?

No more strange than McKenzie to Georgia. No official visit with an offer at the last minute.

So you wouldn't bat an eye if one of your prospects at the last minute switched to MSU without even a visit?

I don't really keep up much with recruiting but this one really smells. By the way, Ole Miss ain't Georgia. Big difference in jumping at a UGA offer and jumping at a TSUN offer.

His commitment to MSU was nothing more than leverage. He committed to us last Friday. Quit being naive.

Giving his college hours needed situation, Mullen probably just said let him go and move on. It's all about perception with Ole Miss.

Do you think it's odd that McKenzie, who had been committed to OM, flipped to GA at the last minute, even though he had never had an OV?

Apparently, the difference between a TSUN offer and an MSU offer to Shepard is about the same as the difference between a GA offer and a TSUN offer to McKenzie. I didn't "bat an eye" when it happened to McKenzie, and I won't "bat an eye" now.

When was McKenzie a TSUN commit?

No more strange than McKenzie to Georgia. No official visit with an offer at the last minute.

This article was written on 2/4/14. Doesn't sound like he is a TSUN commit here... Not really an apples to apples comparison as to with a guy that has twitter pics of him in TSUN gear prior to his flipping...

"There were many surprises this season, but one that caught my eye early was Isaiah McKenzie.
The playmaker out of American Heritage in Plantation, Fla. had a spectacular 95-yard kickoff return against Miami Central back in August. He showed just what type of an impact player he is.
McKenzie is more of a slot receiver type (5-foot-8, 165 pounds) and a return specialist on the next level. Any time the ball is in his hands, he could be on the verge of something special. He is expected to sign with Georgia, Ole Miss, or Virginia Tech Wednesday"

Perception IS reality.

If they LOOK like a top 10 recruiting team they MUST be one. Amiright? They lost on a few highly rated players this year and it hurt 'em. Tee is their salve. Like one twatter said, "Bama ego with a Vandy trophy case."

Why else would he commit to us 3 days before signing day only to sign with OM?

I can't find where he was ever committed to OM. I did see where he took an OV to VT after his OV to OM. Maybe he swung by undercover for a little time with Georgia as well. He also took OV to Florida and Rutgers. He also had Rutgers, Notre Dame, and WV as a leader for him during the fall.
