Did the current skeleton of the upper deck make DWS louder?

Stricklin said in the live chat last month that the upper seating panels are going to be installed in November, so I expect the Bama and Ole Miss games to be a better representation of the new acoustics.

I would have to say yes. It was hard to judge though because the crowd was not as loud with Alcorn.

I couldn't tell that it was any louder than normal. But like af102 said, there's not a lot of excitement for Alcorn so it was hard to tell.

My section was really quiet except for the guy sitting next to me yelling at his son 2 rows lower trying to embarrass him. I'm almost positive he's a poster here, but I don't just ask random people do you sixpack brah.

I have heard the stadium much louder. This was my first time sitting in the upper deck. I got tickets last year in the top part of the lower deck for Auburn and the year before that down low in the lower deck for LSU. My ears were ringing after the LSU game. The crowd was just lethargic for the Alcorn game. I had been trying to prepare my wife and kids for the noise level since my kids do not like excessive noise but it was never that bad. Right before kickoff my son was holding his ears but after a while he acclimated and was fine. By halftime the combination of heat and the score emptied the stadium so it was really much quieter.
