For one, they'll turn the second round pick into a player who will start. No. 2, Cassell was on the books for 14.5 million next year as a franchised player. They had to get rid of him and I just don't think he's anything more than a 1-season flash in the pan.

I would like to see Cassell in Chicago. He is an acceptable risk, even with the high salary. Without a decent QB the bears are basically wasting the salaries of every player on the team because Vigina Face and Rex Suckman are pure garbage.

If I were Chicago, I would offer a No. 1 pick because the Bears don't know what to do with No. 1 picks anyways. They will save on paying the next Cedric Benson, Rashan Salaam, David Terrell, or Matt Columbo a big dollar signing bonus. I can just see them drafting Moreno or something stupid like that.

I edited because this is a done deal. Stupid Bears kill me again! I would have offered a No. 1, Vigina Face, and Rex for Cassell alone.

he's not Tom Brady obviously but he's as good or better than other QBs who have won in the league. Their WR position needs an upgrade moreso than the QB position.

I am not going to argue that the bears have good recievers becuase the same feces brained people that picked our QB's picked the WRs, but you have to upgrade the QB posiition when you get an opportunity like this. Plus, recievers are easier to find than QB's.If you can get a QB you get the damn QB and then surround him with some catchers.

As far as Chicago recievers go in recent years...look at Bernard Berrian...they let him go to Minnesotta and he nearly goes for 1000 yards for a truly bad Viking QB. Same for M. Muhammad in Carolina. When they played in Chicago, Rex and Kyle still sucked.
