I think it is just a little left-handed jab at Jones for signing with THE Mississippi State University.
If anything, Freeze would have told him the exact same things. He wants to win at all costs, I think that is obvious and if he has to tell a little white lie to get his way, so be it.

As opposed to the other 13 SEC head coaches who simply want their kids to try their hardest and have fun?
Freeze probably needs to make a big deal out of getting Conner...
because even with the great class they had we pounded them pretty good in state. Kailo is way overrated in my book as a football player and Buchanan wasn't someone that even OM seemed to want to take toward the end as those are the highest rated of the bunch. Hyping Conner as the TOP player in the state allows Freeze to not concede losing the state so bad.

sorry if you got your feelings hurt. Of course though obviously Freeze didn't put as much focus on MS this year as Mullen did and when you can pull 4 and 5 star guys from different states around I guess you don't really have to.
Especially when you consider that the Dandy Dozen had two Ole Miss legacies and two South Panola players in it. We should have been down 4-0 right there.
