Pretty much. Chicken **** move if you ask me. And I know we’re not the only ones to do it.
Vandy did that to us a couple years ago

Took my oldest up there after school ball session ended to catch a midweek and hit up his favorite pizza spot

Sunshine no rain and canceled due to weather - pizza was great though

It can be done with reasonable concern. We had reasonable concern. There will be no backlash, the area has had record rainfall and there was a decent chance of rain. There's precedent for it at other schools in similar weather.

I swear we would play and you would say it was stupid to play.

it’s pretty impressive that you can find a way to ***** about every single scenario on every single topic
Now, come on, hatfield. It's appropriate to call this a chicken$h!+ move. It's also appropriate to call the move smart. Two things can be true here.

Agree on both counts. If NCAA wants to get serious about ending last minute cancellations, just give both teams a loss in the RPI calculations if it's not actually raining. Or a more reasonable solution, drop the lowest 3 RPI wins from the RPI calculation. I just find it funny that we suddenly HAD to cancel this game and never even gave a thought to only scheduling 10-12 Q4 games instead of 15. That would have done a lot more for our RPI than cancelling this game.
