The UAB kicker from Jackson Prep that Ole Croom " I wonder how we missed out on him" ? talked about at length after the 2007 MSU - UAB game. I talked to Swayze's father last spring before last years draft and he said that the word that they got then showed Swayze going somewhere in the 6th - 7th round. He said that the New England Patriots kicker was a good friend of the family and he was drafted pretty high in 2006 and they were hoping the same would happen with Swayze.
If he was not drafted, hopefully he has signed a FA contract with some team. I know one thing, he was the best kicker/punter I have watched in a long time. Anybody know his status?
