LSU doesn't dogpile because of what they did to their ace in 2001, Lane Mestepey. He completed the super regional win over A&M and was dogpiled. He messed up his shoulder and missed the start in Omaha which they lost. Then he started the next game and wasn't right and they lost that one too. Had shoulder surgery in 2002, came back in 04 and 05 with a combined 14-12 record. He was also overworked throughout his career at LSU. I'm not sure why any LSU fan would lecture anyone on dogpiling from a "stay classy, act like you been there" standpoint. Rather they should inform everyone how stupid they were and lecture everyone from a "hey..look how we ruined our freshman ace's baseball career" standpoint.
