You're assuming it would be about money. I don't think that's the case. Nutt's problem, since he arrived, has been Pete Boone. They've tried to do what they can to put an intermediary between the two, but they've butted heads from Day One. What Nutt ones is more freedom to run his program and make decisions on his own. If he leaves, that's what it's going to be about, not money. He won't get much more, if any, at Kansas or anywhere for that matter, because he's not worth much more than we're paying him. What he might get though is an AD that's willing to give him more freedom to run his own program and not pinch pennies at every corner.
You have to understand that Nutt came from a decade of working with Frank Broyles who gave him pretty much everything he needed when he needed it. Boone fights him on everything. That's his biggest problem and has been from the beginning.
