I think no matter what Croom did here at MSU you have to respect the way the man composed himself. Even through the 3 win seasons he preached integrity and doing things the right way, I think what Crooms did for State should not be looked at as a total waste of our time but as a stepping stone for the turn around at MSU. He should be applauded for the way he handled himself during the roughest times we have ever seen. I think it he is a role model for how to run a program (with the exception of wins and more importantly LOSSES)

While he may have turned out some fine young men into the real world, he leaves our new coach NOTHING on the offensive side of the ball.

I hope to God to never hear "the right way" again, ever, when speaking of MSU football. The "right way" got us four out of five losing seasons. Applauded? For what? He was paid money he never earned.

I don't want a damn role model. I want a winning football coach who will strike fear in the hearts of the other SEC coaches. I want someone who WANTS to win more than he wants to eat. And I want someone who knows the damned difference between maroon and crimson.

For whatever it's worth to you, his name has no "s" on the end. He's been here five long years.

With all the Croom bashing (myself included) that went on here, we must realize that the guy tried so so hard but it just was not the job cut out for him.

He did his best to improve every year, took us to a bowl game, then quit after the next year didn't go his way. I respect the man so much for making the right decision and not leaving our University hanging in the balance. He did run the program with class and dignity and thats the way I would want it run by anybody win or lose. He realized that it was his time to go and he respecfully made the right choice. We should be wishing him and his family luck. He will be a good coach somewhere. Just not a head coach in the SEC.

Thanks Croom for restoring integrity to our program and making the right decision to leave it to somebody else. Good luck in the future

Blah Blah Blah. Its the SEC folks. I know he wants to win the "right" way, but the bottom line, he couldn't win the "wrong" way if there ever was one. Integrity and all this other ******** is just a cop out to why he cant win, because he kicks everyone off the team, and presents himself well in conferences. In this day and age, money equals power and wins equal power, wins also equal money, which we were giving up more than we were getting. Be on your way coach, were winning, which is always the "right" way.
