Just outside of Bloomington and looking for good dinner suggestions . Already disappointed today by Mrs. Wicks Pies so I need something good.

The Tap Room on College Ave. is pretty good. They have a smaller space around the corner that is good for beer and tapas. The Irish Lion is pretty good too (W. Kirkwood). I've been there a couple of times when on business. Never disappointed.

Ate at Uptown this afternoon next to Farm, both places are solid. Gracie is decent but the Afghan restaurant next to Grazie (name escapes me) is really good.

Sweetgrass is very good. Probably the most upscale eatery in Bloomington.

Grazie on the square in downtown Bloomington if you can get a table. My favorite place to eat when I'm there.

Samira, the Afghan place, is the best food. Not a ton of ambiance, but if I had one meal in Bloomington that would be it. Scholars Inn is very good and higher end. For beers and bar food, kilroys or nicks English hut are good spots.
