First, I saw something that was a first for me. The NFHS Network cameras had instant replay and a highlighted “yard to gain”. This greatly improved the coverage. And this particular broadcast picture was clear, unlike many others.

As a side note, the PA announcer for Battlefield did a really good job. He stuck with the facts and kept you informed.

Both teams looked good, both on offense and defense. RB Blackstock for Battlefield is one tough cookie. Keeps his legs churning and sheds initial contact like Teflon.

Dinwiddie looked pretty solid in all areas. They had some nice offensive plays and made some key stops on defense.

Both teams made the kind of mistakes that you expect to see at this point in the season. Blown coverage here, missed tackle there. A few loose balls and fumbles. Typical penalties, offsides and holding.

From what I could see on the broadcast, Battlefield has a first class stadium.

Dinwiddie wishes the Bobcats a successful season and appreciates the opportunity for the scrimmage.
