Nice article on how some of the state's top teams fared at one of the best 7on7's on the East Coast. Dinwiddie, HS, Salem (VA Beach), and Norview all in attendance. Good read. Looking like a very promising season for the Generals.

I grew up in Va but I live here in Charlotte now. I have ties to Vance High which is located in Charlotte.

If Maxpreps can be trusted it looks like GW Danville will travel to Charlotte for this year's game with Vance. You'll have to let us know how GW looks.

Bracket play update:

Norview and Salem out in first round. Highland Springs out in round of 16. Bishop Sullivan lost to Oakland 25-24 and Dinwiddie lost 26-18 to Mallard Creek in final eight. Vance lost in final 8 as well. Great showing by all of the VA teams.

GW won't have the team that they had last year but will still give Vance a good game. Ifedi will be the best QB GW plays all year. Vance plays in the best conference in NC and are very well coached. Coach Brand and his staff are going to win a few state championships before its all said and done. Vance has a fine program! Welcome to the board!
