At some point we have, you have to question as to whether Pope and his staff’s methods are not to cause for the frequency of our injuries. Is he pushing them too hard in practice? Is strength and conditioning not doing their job correctly? Something has to be going on, it can’t just be bad luck.Well, at least the good news is that there's an excuse if we lose...again.
Mark Pope's injury luck is as bad as his theology.
Idk man. Seems really odd. Our guys seem lackadaisical on the floor. We don’t move with the same speed or purpose as other teams. As Jimmy Dykes would say, "we don't have violent cuts."At some point we have, you have to question as to whether Pope and his staff’s methods are not to cause for the frequency of our injuries. Is he pushing them too hard in practice? Is strength and conditioning not doing their job correctly? Something has to be going on, it can’t just be bad luck.
Lowe separated his shoulder. That has nothing to do with Pope nor strength and conditioning. At some point we have, you have to question as to whether Pope and his staff’s methods are not to cause for the frequency of our injuries. It’s a valid question. I ain’t gonna go down any dark alley with this, but it’s a valid question. What's wrong with Mo D?
I’ve heard from other fans that our strength and conditioning coach isn’t very good. I can believe it.Lowe separated his shoulder. That has nothing to do with Pope nor strength and conditioning.
Mo sprained his ankle in a game and again there is nothing that Pope nor the S&C could have done to prevent that.
Oweh had turf toe which again has nothing to do with anything.
I guess we could pin JQ’s acl tear on Pope but I’m pretty sure he had nothing to do with that injury.
It is amazing that people really believe this stuff.
Didn’t Rex play with a back injury?Jeff Sheppard would be playing. We need some toughness on this team.
I know. I was just wondering if it’s still the ankle or if he had another injury. It’s a valid question. I ain’t gonna go down any dark alley with this, but it’s a valid question.
Broke backDidn’t Rex play with a back injury?
@Oboro_3 ???Didn’t Rex play with a back injury?
That’s what I thought but it was so long ago I thought it might be a fake memory.Broke back
It really is amazing. I guess these billion dollar NFL teams just have ****** S&C coaches. Many of these posters just confirm how dumb they are.Lowe separated his shoulder. That has nothing to do with Pope nor strength and conditioning.

Cal caught flak for Sharpe (and rightly so), but on that same team, you had a guy like Kellan Grady who couldn't even walk properly still suit up, play hard, and do what he could for the team. THAT is a transfer who wants to play for Kentucky. Even Butler last year, NIL and all.Our medical staff sucks if Mo D is still not able to go.
Either that, or there is something else going on and whatever it is, needs to end. This is starting to feel like it did at the end of Cal's tenure.
So now we are blaming the coach for kids injuries? You can't make this crap up SMHAt some point we have, you have to question as to whether Pope and his staff’s methods are not to cause for the frequency of our injuries. Brand and Draft Status, even if it's in their dreams.Cal caught flak for Sharpe (and rightly so), but on that same team, you had a guy like Kellan Grady who couldn't even walk properly still suit up, play hard, and do what he could for the team. I would say it's more the culture now of "load management" rather than the medical staff. 10 years ago, it would be in these players' best interests to play no matter what. Now, it's the opposite where it's better for them not to play and be "exposed". Just the culture.

If we keep having an unusually high frequency of injuries compared to other schools, who or what else is to blame other than the methods the coaches are using? So now we are blaming the coach for kids injuries? You can't make this crap up SMH
What year was the last time we played a game with a fully healthy roster?
Ridiculous, even by RR standardsIf we keep having an unusually high frequency of injuries compared to other schools, who or what else is to blame other than the methods the coaches are using?
You’re acting like coaching and medical staffing are incapable of causing unnecessary injury through careless practices.
Since he didn't have the same level of injuries at BYU I'm sure it's bad luck. Maybe some guys are sitting out a little longer for minor injuries because we have more depth. But injuries are why we have the depth so it's no it's no excuse for losing. I agree that we've still got enough to win.Injuries since Pope became coach:
(I don't count JQ, because he had surgery before he arrived at UK):
Butler
Carr
Robinson
Kriisa
Lowe
Noah
Oweh
Mo-D
Potter
I guess it's just a lot of bad luck. But Pope is paid handsomely to figure it out regardless. The injuries are obviously not his fault, but the losing is if it keeps up. We have enough to beat UNC tomorrow, with or without Mo D and Lowe, especially at Rupp.
I will put our theology up against yours, as we actually aspire to be ChristlikeWell, at least the good news is that there's an excuse if we lose...again.

Have you seen our players? They aren’t ripped like under cal. These guys have good endurance but they aren’t shredded and strong the way they need to be should be from cranking iron in the offseasonI realize sprains can be rough to recover from but it's been two weeks since the injury tomorrow. Either this is more serious than speculated, our training staff is trash, or Mo D isn't as tough as his persona.
Rex had a break in the transverse process a small bone in the back. He did it in a game. I remember that game let’s see I was probably 12 when that happened and that’s how I learned the term transverse process the bone in the backDidn’t Rex play with a back injury?
