Dish Tailgater system

My brother has one, upgraded from trying to use a regular dish. Exact same spot last year as we tried the year before with the old conventional dish (that we couldn't get to work) and the thing found the signal within 5 minutes, and we were in pretty heavy trees - BBQ, lawn chairs, beer, co-eds, and football on the TV, that thing rocks.
I don't ever set ours up in The Junction but we've got a couple guys that set our regular dish up (no tailgater) in about 5 minutes every week w/ no compass, phone app, etc. Is it normally that hard to do?
As long as the mount is level and plumb, you can set elevation at the house once, then the only adjustment is left or right on the horizon. A compass will get you real close. If you have done it a few times it should only take a couple of minutes. You can spend the $500 cost of the tailgater on a stripper pole, hookers, and blow for game day entertainment.
it's ussually no big deal but at times is a pain in the but to find a signal.....here is where I am. Our tail gate used Direct TV last year but that old box and dish did have HD.
Now, we can buy $150 worth of Direct TV crap to go HD...now, we are a little nervous about HD becasue we have to be locked on like several sattelites to actually receive HD signal---is this a problem?
OR we can buy the DISH Tailgator system for about $500 (use an existing DISH subscription) and be done with it.........17ing huge decision - much bigger than having children....help!
Plus - who has the best College FB packages - Direct or DISH?

Ours is mounted on a welded stand w/ a wide board base and the guy is always reeeeeal careful putting it in our trailer, thats probably why, he's got the elevations set and just has to point it to the same spot.
Directv HD dish isn't much different than the SD dish. Find signal on the 101 satellite and try to get the signal strength in 80s plus. The HD satellites one each side of the 101 should fall into acceptable range to watch HD. If you want to tweek the #s on the HD satellites adjust the two fine tuning knob/bolts on the dish.
I have to peak my dish at my camp house the weekend after the roofers tore of the old roof and tossed the shingles on to the dish mounted on the side of the house. I'm still getting HD although it fades in and out with a signal strength in the 20s on the 101.
