She said that it was 99.00 per month (Plus HD upgrade and channel upgrade) and that it didn't have a expiration time. I asked her specifically.
She is supposed to email me something so I'll post it if she does.

Yea, good luck with that.

When I had AT&T for DSL and local phone (no long distance) I could NEVER get the bill under 100 bucks no matter how much I trimmed off the phone service.

Called Comcast to say that $170/month (including internent not phone) without HD (we have another child on the way therefore not ready to move up to HD) is a little on the high side and what could they do for me. They proceeded to tell me that in order to get any discounts that I would have to upgrade my service. I was already getting every premium channel they offered except for Starz (their idea not mine they gave me discounts to offset the costs of the premiums, until they took away the discounts with 5 days notice). The nice lady said since I wasn't upgrading that there was nothing they could do for me.

Now I am with directtv paying $55.00 month for two dvr's and two regular tuners with HBO Showtime and Starz free for 3 months. Even if I keep HBO after that 3 months will only be paying $69.00 month. Which when combined with internet from comcast (still best option) for $45.00/month would bring my bill to $114.00 (if I decide to keep HBO) plus tax. Comcast quoted me $140 if I dropped everything but HBO. Comcast doesn't want to help you. So 17 them I left... Did I mention the picture quality of DirectTV over Comcast is night and day and the guide doesn't look like a 3rd grader wrote it out...

and that was a two year commitment to get the box included. Not enough savings to justify the slower internet, plus I like TW.

I've never found any significant pricing difference between any of them.

It's all about who you talk to and when you get the stuff set up. I paid 150 dollars for directtv and internet before and had no phone.

I really think it depends on if your wife gets a male customer service agent and she talk like Scarlet O'Hara. Worked for me, we're paying promo price (with no end date) with comcast for cable + HD, DVR, Starz & HBO,internet, and phone .

I have HD (1 DVR, one regular HD receiver), unlimited calling home phone, highest DSL speed available and two cell phones all bundled together for about $280 a month. It has not changed in price since I move here.

that direct tv does not offer our local channels in HD for the Jackson area? So if I switch from Comcast to direct tv that I no longer will get ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX in HD like I do with comcast? Please don't tell me to get an antenna for my attic, not interested in that.

My brother has one, he does not have it in the attic. I don't pick up very well where he has it(in the living room).
