had played in this offense for four years? His yards would be way the hell up there and he'd probably be getting a lot of talk. But he didn't and he's not.

that gold teef has played 9 games to ingram's 8, but then I remembered that Dixon had his *** champippled for the jack stake game. So that's pretty impressive.

I was at my local watering hole watching the Titans game and talking college football with a UGA buddy of mine. He had the same question, especially with relation to Ingram. At least people outside of MSU fans are thinking about it, too...

Tebow just broke Hershel Walkers of 49 TDs. I have to think that if Dixon had been in this offense, or on a UGA or UF team, he would have broken it as well.

Combine that with having a decent coaching staff, and he probably has 10 more over four years.

that Dixon would have been one of many talented backs and probably not nearly the carries that he gets at MSU if he played for a Florida type of school. That's just a fact. Nevertheless, he is a quality RB

the heisman hype is right where the rest of our wins are. If we were undefeated as well then he would. Aside form that, a copule of Dixon's fumbles cost us a game or two. definitely one

I have a hard time believing he's "cost us a game or two."

With as terrible as an offensive line as we have compared to the rest of these teams with RB's putting up huge numbers, he should get some consideration. I think he is one of the top 5 RB's in the country, and I think if he gets in an NFL with a good offensive line, he could do extremely well.

Don Smith got mention when we were 5-0 or 4-1 especially after the TN game. All was quickly dismissed after the remainder of the season played out.

Dixon may not be credited with the fumbles, but he was very much a part of a couple that got credited to Lee. The mistakes on the read option plays count in my opinion

A) It was only one of the ones against Houston that he was involved in.
B) Dan Mullen himself blamed those on Tyson Lee. Plus, since it happened with multiple running backs, and the only constant on those two plays was Tyson, Tyson gets the blame for those.

Dixon is really good, it's ok to admit it.

and been the QB of FB in an option offense, you know that there is no way in hell you can just blame the QB- it's on both of them

those fumbles were cause by Lee pulling the ball out late trying to read the option. The running backs job is to accept the ball and once he is a step past to clamp down. the QB has 100% of the responsibility in the option of leaving the ball in or pulling it out in a timely manner. There is no way Dixon is responsible for the QB pulling the ball out late on the option.

to see a QB riding the FB on an option read, and people want to say its all the on the QB. The back is not looking at the backside end, he is looking at the hole and wanting to run the football. Sometimes they make it tougher for the QB to pull it and fumbles happen.

Watch Ga Tech play a few games, you will see the QB fighting the FB to keep the ball on occassion- it happens sometimes in option schemes.

but Lee was clearly trying to oversell the fake in each of those fumbles. When the QB leaves the ball in that long, of course the RB is going to try to take it. Generally, the QB is responsible for making sure the handoff (or fake) is executed properly.

he was trying to 17'ing pull it out and run with it. AD was clamped down and wanting to run with hit. Ultimately, more blame goes to the QB of course, but AD deserves some of that as well.

And FYI, its not a handoff. He is riding him, sticking it in there, keeping his hands on it because he is reading the DE. Lee has got to be stronger with the football and make the pull when he sees it.

you stick it in and leave it until you even fake yourself out. Fumbles happen, but if you sell the fake well enough you don't even have to read it.

when they announced they were going to Anthony Dixon for an interview on the field and I accidentally chuckled out loud "Oh ****... this is gonna be good..."
