Dixon is going to be a Pro Bowler one day.

If he can grasp the play book and the 49ers will quit changing offensive coordinators like they dounderwear then Dixon is in the perfect place for his skills. Singletary likes to pound the football on the ground and let the defense do the rest so Dixon will get his chances. Gore seems to get hurt every year and durability has never been an issue with DIxon in spite of the load that was put on him at State.

Maybe Atlanta will trade Norwood to the Niners and we can have the backfield we always wanted.

I can't imagine how good Scott is going to be, if Dixon is a Pro Bowler.

Seriously though, Dixon looks really, really good right now.

Mullen was quick to notice that last year, and I think that is what changed him last year to give him success. But I watched him last night, and I saw him 'dance' a few times, and if he couldnt get away with that for 3 years in the SEC, he damn sure won't in the NFL. just my 2 cents. Also soldifies my faith in Mullen as a coach.

Remember last night he was going against the starters onone of the best defenses in the NFL and the Niners were without Crabtree and Vernon Davis so the Vikings really stacked the line.......kinda like when Croom was coaching Dixon and the defense knew that we were not going to pass much.

Scott has fallen off...not sure what is going on there

But AD is a 3rd team TB right now...saying he will be a pro bowler is quite a reach

going to be used in 3rd down or long yardage situations. With Gore and Westbrook Dixon will get a lot of carries after they both go down at some point in the season.<div>
</div><div>Scott never "fell off", he was amediocrebackbehinda great offensive line.</div>

most everybody had him ahead of AD going into last season preseason ALL-SEC- then most would disagree with you

You were still saying it in the middle of the season when Dixon had clearly shown that he was the better back. Saying that Scott "fell off" off a little is like saying that you are just a little bit of a douchebag.

Zing!

Seriously though, I don't think I'm ready to proclaim him a Pro-Bowler yet, but he does have the look right now of just "fitting" into the NFL. I think he will be a solid starting RB one day soon.

Scott was the victim of inflated expectations and hype. He wasn't a great back and couldn't live up to the hype. He never PERFORMED at a level to justify falling off. I know it burns going down but you were wrong about this and no one here issurprised.<div>
</div><div>Maybe you can find him at his new job doingconstructionor personal training and ask him what he thinks about AD's touchdown last night.</div>

He was voted 1st team All-SEC by the 17'ing coaches...how is that not living up to hype or performing at a high level?????

but it was nice to watch AD run the ball.

It was nice to hear his name mentioned. I'm probably woolly, but the announcers seemed to like him. Nice to see him put points on the board, too. Like others, I want to see him go north and south and not get back into old juke and dance habits. He has a long way to go and I hope he gets the time to develop. It would e nice to see him still running the ball ten years from now. Like I said earlier that's likely a very woolly statement.

Any PRESEASON ranking is mostly hype. Hell Jevan Snead was on alot of preseason lists of top QBs. Where was Scott on the postseasonlist by the way?

Damn man. Are you incapable of admitting you are wrong about anything? Are you really Sylvester Croom?

I hope the guy does well, but let wait and see what he does when it counts, instead of against guys that will probably not be on the team in a couple of weeks

I said that I think Dixon will be a Pro Bowler ONE DAY, not this season. I based that off of what I saw from Dixon last season at MSU not off of 2 preseason games. What he has done so far in the NFL does not surprise me.

He better work a lot on his blocking and cut the dancing out or Singletary will cut him loose. Singletary wanted a physical back and AD needs to run like he did in the Egg Bowl last year. It was painful watching him block in that game. He kept ducking his head and trying to take their legs out instead of facing them up and using his strength. If he can improve his blocking and limit the dancing and read his holes better, he might be a feature back in this league.

in the NFL and they drop a couple of million coin on him. Can he stay focused and motivated after that? I hope so.

Scott was the post-season ALL-SEC RB for coaches in 2008 and I'm sure many others, just didn't look at the rest
