I didn't watch the game so I don't know exactly what Gruden was saying, but when watching MNF, who doesn't John Gruden love? Not saying that's bad, that's one of the reasons I think he's awesome in the booth. He can name every little thing about any player on each team; where they went to college, what round they were drafted in, what's their mamas name, what was their English score on the act, do they own a yeti cooler...
He really talked up how difficult it is
to be a TB and pick up the nuiances of playing FB. Talked about how he was reading the play on the fly to pick up the scrapping LB. He really singled him out on back to back plays that led to the TD.
And, I was super pissed as well. Just horrible planning on the onside kick. There was way too much chance of failure in that setup. You only have one guy back to recover the ball and that guy is a LB?

I'm not surprised Dixon is able to pick up the mental nuances of a new position. He had the second highest Wonderlic of all RBs in his draft class. IIRC he was more than a standard deviation above average intelligence.
